Onsite At the Pioneer Museum, networking 101
In the wiring closet we have a 16 port switch (hub) that is tied to its cables via a 16 port Patch panel, the Cable modem was directly wired to the switch, but this is not correct.
A router was introduced to the mix, to insure internet connectivity at all wall jacks/pcs. The router chosen for the role, is wifi enabled, and allows users to connect with laptops, smartphones etc.

a blue coil of ethernet cat5e cable, leading to the Time Warner Cable modem. What make of router is it?
at the PC shop
a dilbertesqe cubicle office, adorned with Tech Posters to inspire the workforce.
Only because Megatron posters wern't for sale...
An office now dormant, once a dilbert was droning here, but budget cutbacks forced catbert from HR to offer him up as a human sacrifce to the gods of finacial panic.
The techs canibolized the pc before the "dilbert's chair" was even cold.
